The screens on the process plate held open and the solids were very good. I didn’t see any halos around the images like I would have expected with the increased impression. Normally, they would put a backing paper under the material to reduce gear marks with the original plate cylinder. The PEC proved that without the backing paper, and using the same plate, the print result was almost perfect. The gear marking was gone, and the density of the print was lighter than the print from the original cylinder.
